Uplift Scotland was the brain child of Tally as a solution to the crisis in mountain bike uplifting in Scotland in 2006
Tally had been running a successful grassroots uplift service in Ae forest for over 4 years, using a 7.5 ton lorry, with bikes and riders travelling in the back. From these humble beginnings Tally has worked, in conjunction with the relevant authorities, to develop the first fully road legal system which is Uplift Scotland.
With a 100 rider daily capacity in Innerleithen, possible capacity of 50 riders in Ae forest coming this spring 2008 and potential for development providing uplifted access in Dunkeld, downhill mountain biking has never seemed so accessible in Scotland.
Tally is well known in mountain biking circles in the UK as a trail designer, builder and successful downhill racer. For the 2008 season Tally has secured sponsorship from MSC bikes and will be competing at the NPS series and Mega avalanche amongst other commitments.
Tally’s passion for biking is a driving force behind his enthusiasm to bring you the best access to the best trails across Scotland. He has been integral to the design and construction of many of the world renowned, IMBA recognised, Seven Stanes mountain bike trails, building many miles of world class single track.
Tally’s latest design project was the Skills area in Mabie forest which includes the Mini Cross trail, a fantastic track which is wide enough to inspire confidence or to race your mates!
